Official bio

Blake Hicks is a professional BMX Flatland rider. Cirque trained & performer bred. His unique skills combined with electrical knowledge drove him to create his one-of-a-kind LED Bike Show. He started riding as a hobby in his childhood at 18. With the debut of his bike at EDC 2011 in Las Vegas to over 110,000 attendees, Blake’s promo video went viral on YouTube and since then he has continued to push his act to newer heights. His unique act engages everyone young and old as he turns the standard bike we all grew up with into a spectacle everyone enjoys.

Off the floor, Blake is a burner — he runs a Burning Man camp and spends his spare time designing LED art cars for the playa. Blake also runs an LED design studio building custom jerseys, jackets, e-bikes, totems, and outdoor light infrastructure — see LED Design.

What we need

Run time: Featured act 3–5 min · Ambient 20–60 min (4 × 15 or 3 × 20 min sets) · Combined available
Space: 25 × 25 ft (8 × 8 m) flat, smooth surface minimum. Hardwood, concrete, stage, ice cover.
Lighting: Best in blackout / house down. Act is fully self-lit (LED bike + LED suit). No follow spot needed.
Audio: Track supplied (or perform to yours). 3.5 mm / XLR to house PA. MC intro script available.
Power: None on the floor. Battery LEDs; charging at a standard outlet backstage.
Crew: Solo performer (multi-rider crew available). Load-in 90 min before doors. Under 2 min on/off.
Travel: Based Las Vegas, NV. Bike flies as checked baggage. Available worldwide.
